It is with a heavy heart that I announce Isotropic Fiction will be going on hiatus for the foreseeable future. The key word here is hiatus. Know that we will be back. It is a question of when and not IF.
This begins the second year of Isotropic Fiction. We have spent the last eight issues gathering great tales from all directions, adding features like novel excerpts and author interviews, and refining our process. Now we are better than ever, and you can expect each progressive issue to reflect that growth. Thank you, everyone, for reading and supporting our magazine.
The usual metaphors of rebirth and change associated to spring present us with a double-edged conundrum. Though winter destroys, it also places many dangers in stasis; while summer creates life, it also fosters a range of beasts.
We have emerged from winter’s dark a bit chilled, but earlier sunrises bring relief. So it is with IF06, which has strung together a series of optimistic tales. This issue is a winter warmer, a cordial, something to thaw out your body and mind.
